FALL CLOTHING PICKS FOR KIDS
I’m no fashion blogger, but I do have a knack for children’s clothes! Actually, picking out clothes for my kiddos is one of my favorite things to do.
SECOND HAND SHOPPING IS MY GO TO:
While I love picking out a few NEW key items each season for the children, I also buy most of their clothing second hand from sites like Kidizen, Poshmark and from our favorite local second-hand shop, Milk Money. I really encourage you to buy second hand. It is great for the earth and even better on your wallet. Purchasing second hand items allows me to shop the high end brands that I love but can’t afford to buy new. Also, we play hard and I don’t believe in ‘saving’ clothes for special occasions. Clothes are meant to be worn!! When I buy second hand, I feel relaxed about spills and dirt. For my girls, the key brands I search for are: Bobo Choses, Mabo, Pink Chicken, Go Gently Nation, Nununu and Alice and Ames. For my son, I search Crewcuts, Boden and Patagonia.
WHY I DON’T SKIMP ON SHOES:
My kids tend to be slow-growers. They rarely have those huge growth spurts I always hear about, so I am not afraid to buy them well made, high quality shoes. They are not likely to outgrow them in one season, and they wear them almost every day! I lean towards two good pairs of shoes for each child that go with everything, and can be dressed up or down. Honestly? Unless they are at school, my kids are barefoot until it snows.
CLOTHES I LOVE FOR RIGHT NOW:
Below you will find my top picks from around the web for this fall season. These are items that we own or are in my virtual shopping cart right now…
