Why You Should Take Your Toys Out of the Playroom

Take Your Toys Out of the Playroom

Do you have toys gathering dust in the playroom?

You know the ones…..

That expensive dollhouse he just had to have? Those magnetic tiles they begged for?

The Paw Patrol pup tower that is tipped over on its side under a pile of costumes? Yup, that one.

Choose one of them and set it up in an unexpected place, out of the playroom.

Grab some coffee and watch the magic happen. Your child will be playing in an instant.

Why Taking Your Toys Out of the Playroom Works

If your playroom is full of toys, your children are probably overwhelmed by choices. (It’s a good problem to have.)

When you take away the clutter, the answer is simple:

PLAY!

Cleaning the playroom all at once can be really overwhelming.

Instead, pick one thing, take it out of the playroom, and set that up on the kitchen table as an experiment.

The loose part toys you see in these images were getting a little lonely in the playroom. My kids used to LOVE them and use them all the time!

I pulled this tray OUT of the playroom and ONTO my kitchen table and BOOM, the kids got busy.

My seven-year-old spent ages organizing them by color and creating an entire imaginary world.

Try this out and see what happens at your house!
